Σύνοψη: The present report deals with the design of vertical and transition curves or a section of New Road between Larnaca and Nicosia with a special emphasis at St. 15+350 to St. 16+000 which is about to constructed.
The report describes the steps followed in the design of vertical curves.
Enough informations were given in Appendix I & II about the soil investigation done for Limbia / Dhali Bridge at St. 15+650 and Litnbia 2 Bridge at St. 13+350 with Laboratory Test Results.
Chapter 3 deals with the method of construction of Mass Haul Diagram (M.H.D.).
A typical example was given in Appendix III showing the Cuts and Fills from St. 15+350 to St.16+000 of thy New Road.
In Chapter 1 Traffic Studies were examined and the Average Yearly Traffic of the existing road between Larnaca and Nicosia in 1988 were given.
