Σύνοψη

In writing this project, I have attempted to deal with the various materials and items used, for wall and floor finishes.
In analytical reference is made to both categories of finishes with detailed information as far as their properties, appearance, uses, way of application and maintenance are concerned.
In my attempt to provide a more visual approach to the various finishes, I found it useful find necessary to include photographs, pictures, sketches and even real sample finishes. The project commences with a chapter on the need and choice of finishes, then a chapter on the historical development of the finishes. After these two introductory chapters the chapter 3 and 4 follows, with the various types of wall and floor finishes.
Finally, my points of view about the future development of finishes are present. In a project of this size only a limited amount of space can be given to the numerous subjects and therefore it is not possible to cover completely all aspects of finishes. It is hoped however that the subject matter has presented in a fashion, which will provide the reader with information on all finishes and helps him in the various problems involved in choosing the most suitable finish.
