Σύνοψη

The aim of this project is to study and analyse building materials used in construction in Cyprus.
In this study the whole of the subject matter which it is intended to cover has been divided into five main chapters, each of which is in turn sub-divided into sections.
Firstly concrete will be discoused by analysing on each of its elements ie cement and aggregate.
For floor finishes, their general properties preparation and use, economic aspect will be mention, and also an investigation on the variety of floor finishes in the market nowadays.
Then wall finishes will be discoused and information will be given for bricks, mortar, plastering and rendering, paint, external finishes.
Ceiling finishes are like wall finishes plus the choise of using suspended ceiling.
And finally roofing materials wil be mentioned. Greater emphasis and reliance is placed on a variety of, whenever possible, many photographic examples.
