Σύνοψη

The building under study lies at Homer Avenue in Nicosia and it is very close to the Museum, the Municipal Theatre and the General Hospital.
It can be located in the neoclassical fashion of 1920's. It provides huge rooms, which are ventilated with many big windows and doors.
For surveying purposes I visited the site for almost ten consecutive times, in order to be able to measure and have in detail all the available quantities in the building.
On achieving the required dimensions and having as much details as possible I came to a final solution with details that comes here after (Appendix ii).
Building methods and materials belong to the middle ages. The technicality in the special characteristics were used in the older days when modern and durable sophisticated materials were not manufactured. This is also thrilling as the building concerned is a very real part of our architectural heritage.
In short the words and thoughts of the hunter and the hunted are not my intentions but are within the limits of human errors. The unavoidable errors will have crept in, mistake in emphasis and interpretation will have made some difference to the presentation. But in all instances I have done my utmost best to analyse WHAT THE BUILDING TELLS OF ITSELF.
