Σύνοψη

The object of this project was to investigate quality control procedures and methods in a manufacturing industry. The industry was specified to be Bata Shoes Co Ltd. This new quality system have to improve the quality of the production line of sports shoe without being more costly that the existing quality control in the factory.
The whole content of the project is divided into six main chapters.
In the first chapter the definition, the meaning of quality control is explained, also it's objectives.
In the following chapter an investigation of the process control is carried out and in the third chapter suggestions of methods for improvement.
Chapter four includes inspection and testing by attribute sampling. The British Standards are used for this procedure.
Chapter five a process capability study is included for attribute scheme, concluding tables, control charts.
The final chapter includes basically an economic comparison between the existing and proposed quality control program.
Finally appendices and references are shown as well.
