Σύνοψη

This project deals with the thermal insulation materials for buildings in Cyprus. It is composed of four chapters:
In the first Chapter the significance and importance of insulation materials in buildings is stated, giving also some information about their characteristics.
Classification of thermal insulation materials is mentioned in Chapter II separating- the insulation materials in major categories.
Chapter III investigates the insulation materials appropriate for the buildings in Cyprus giving information separately for each one about their description, type, form, characteristics, use, application and cost. Followed by a table including all materials in a summary form.
Finally in Chapter IV a comparative study derives the most cost-effective materials for roofs, floors and walls.
Must be mentioned clearly that the aim of the project was not to advertise or promote any products of some companies in Cyprus which were willing to give me information about their products but only to give informations and details about the variety of insulating materials which are used today in Cyprus.
