Σύνοψη

The scope of the project is to study the quantity surveying practices in Cyprus:
The objectives of the project were:
1. To carry out the "taking off" measurements of concrete, formwork, reinforcement, brickwork, finishes of the drawings provided.
2. To write a report on the different methods of "taking off" procedures used in Cyprus.
3. To compare the above methods with the SMM7 and point out the differents between the methods mentioned above.
The report on the different methods of "taking off" procedures used in Cyprus was based on visits to local quantity surveying firms and quantity surveyors who work as individuals.
The whole project consists of three chapters. The first chapter refers to a bill preparation processes. At the second chapter a bill of quantities was prepared.
The third chapter deals with the quantity surveying practices in Cyprus. Conclusions and comments on the quantity surveying as practiced in Cyprus are given at the end of this project.
