In this project, the Electical Installat ion of a multistorey building is represented. The building consists of four shops and thirteen flats. The floors are not ident ical , except of some parts, as it is shown in the electrical drawings at the back of the project.
The purpose of this project is to represent as good as possible to the reader, the procedure followed for the elect ical installat ion design of such a building. The main objectives are:
The study of the i1lumination design procedure, i.e. calculat ing and locat ing the number of 1ight ing fittings in all premises.
The calculat ion of the supply cables, type and rat ing of protect ive devices for all circui ts. Give informat ion concerning the condui t runs and locat ion of' switches and other relevant items.
The Telepnone Installat ion des ign. Schematic and wiring diagrams including informat ion for the condui t runs and locat ion of telephone points and distribut ion cases.
To provide all necessary schedules of materials and cost ing including labour expenses.
Some informat ion and data
The EAC (Electricity Authori ty of Cyprus) power supply to the building is a three-phase 415Vrms, 50Hz. The earthing system to be used is the T-T system.
The IEE Wiring Regulat ions 16th Edition (Also the 15th ) were followed in every step of the project procedure, as well as the local EAC condi t ions of supply.
The i 1 luminat ion des ign was in accordance with the CIBS code.
CYTA requirements were taken into consideration as well.
The external resistance, Ze, is taken to be equal to Ze = = 0.4 Ohms.
