Σύνοψη

This project was proposed by Mr. Panicos Masouras, lecturer of General Studies Department of the Higher Technical Institute to be developed by the third year students as one of the final year project of academic year 2000-2001. The new Web Site intends to provide faster and easier access to information concerning Cyprus Computer Society (CCS) and its activities. CSS currently has a site on the Internet and the new site will be an improved version of that site. All the facilities provided
by the old web site are maintained and additional facilities such as search engine, news, vacancies and skills & certificates form are added.
The software programs used to developed this web site are: Apache server, MySql server, PHP, Dreamw~aver 4, Flash 5 and Fireworks 4.
The main problem that we faced during the development was dealing with the necessary files of the system since we had no knowledge on how to do it through Apache Server, MySql Server and PHP.
We conclude this summary by saying that the development of this project offered us a huge piece of knowledge and the experience of
dealing with any problems and difficulties that may come.
