1. INVESTIGATION PHASE
1.1 ACTIVITY 1: Initial Investigation
1.1.1 Introduction
The major objective of the Initial Investigation Activity is to determine whether a new system should be developed. In other words the objective of this activity is to determine whether a request is both valid and feasible and then arrive to the appropriate recommendations.
The Initial Investigation report reveals the work done the findings and the recommendations. In a second step the analyst presents an Oral Report to explain and support his or her recommendations.
1.1.2 Information Gathering
The requested system is referred generally to a Gynecological Clinic. Because the system is general for all the clinics that wants to use it, information are gathered from different Doctors that have a clinic.
In order to collect the necessary and appropriate information for the requested system, the following methods have been used:
A. Interviews
The first interview was with Mr. Marios Liasides, Dr. in gynecology and director of a gynecological clinic in Limassol.
The scope of the first interview is to understand the analyst how the clinic works, what are the necessary data that system will kept and the major parts that the system may contain.
