This Project was proposed by Mrs. Maria Theodorou, lecturer of the Computer
Studies department ofR.T.r. It is web based software which allows people to
calculate their taxes online.
Main emphasis was given to the calculation of taxes for individual and self-employed
people. Taxes for estimation were Income Tax, Vat and Social Securities.
In order for the user to be able to calculate his/her taxes, should register to the online
site, verified, fill the appropriate form with the necessary data and let the system to
proceed to calculations. If there are np errors on form, the system will generate a
report with appropriate information concerning the user and of course the tax that
should be paid or returned to the user.
All the requirements of the system were given from people working in the Tax
department of Cyprus and from the Cypriot web site concerning taxes:
