Σύνοψη

This is a completely software programming project which gives emphasis to the monitoring of results after certain calculations made by the program itself. In this particular case the results displayed are of a SKIING meeting taking place at the time the program runs. Skiing is a kind of sport with individual contenders virtually fighting against time. Therefore, the calculations made by the Computer Controlled Display System, as the project is called, are determined by the perfomance of each individual athlete. The project consists of a stopwatch constructed to time the athletes, and a program which is run after all athletes finish their performance that sorts those athletes to display a fully completed table of results. The elements or tools needed for the completion of the project are a P. C. with a hard disk, the programming language TURBO PASCAL 6.0 for the construction of the program, and information about how skiing exactly functions so as to supply the results in a correct way. This book is divided in four sections: a) CHAPTER 1 - It deals with the problems to be tackled in the project. b) CHAPTER 2 - It is virtually the explanation of the solution of the project. c) CHAPTER 3 - It contains some conclusions, ideas to extend the project and a USER'S GUIDE. d) APPENDICES - Programs.
