Σύνοψη

This report is a follow-up of last year's study and recommendation for the development of a new computerized Library Information System.
Last year's study was carried out by project team 4 as a project for the completion of the Systems Analysis subject for the second year of computer studies course. This study includes an initial investigation report and a feasibility study. (The complete reports can be found in Appendix A)
The final recommendation of last year's study was the development of a new computerized library information system and this is the subject of this year's project.
Because of the incompleteness of last year's study, this year's project is not a last year study continuation; cut analysis has to be restarted from the beginning.
The objectives of the project are to make analysis, design and program School Library Information System.
First of all, information is the essential ingredient in decision making. The need for improved information systems in recent years has been made critical by the steady growth in size and complexity of organizations and data. As any other information service, the major function of the school library is to act as an interface between a particular population of users and the universe of information resources.
